Okie dokie, all the buddies. This video episode rated G is entitled “Corky Trip to the Groomers”. This was photographed in January 2009 when I went to the groomers for the first time to get a b-a-t-h and haircut two weeks after being rescued.
To begin, the groomer staff inspected my shaggy hair and explained options to my parents. Did you notice the toys next to me? That is highly suspicious and likely a bribe because of what they’re gonna do next! It couldn’t be any worse than the previous video about My First Visit to the Veterinarian and getting my temperature taken. Yikes!
The next stop getting groomed is being put in a big stainless steel bathtub. See the short leash to keep me from jumping out? If they didn’t have us hooked in I bet 9 out of 10 dogs would jump. Maybe more.
The groomer starts by spraying me head to toe to get soaking wet. Now you can really see I’m a fluffy puppy, and when I get all wet I look soooo skinny and scrawny.
Watch this next clip. They spray me in the FACE… Hah! I take a free drink of water!
While still wet, the operator puts blue stuff below my eyes to remove stains, plus shampoo head to toe to make me smell like flowers or something. You ever see a dog rolling in flowers? Hah, again! Not me.
The next stop after getting blow dried is being clipped and groomed. Here I am up on a high table with my front paws on the groomer’s shoulders. She was a very nice lady so I gave her kissy licks. Woo hoo!
She clipped the toe nails on all 4 paws, cut my fur, and then combed me out for a fresh, clean look! At 5 months old and just out of doggy jail, I clean up pretty good, don’t you think?
